Tony (Anthony)

Tony is a lovely hound who is about 3.5 years old. He is currently in foster in Herefordshire, while he looks for his happily ever after.

Tony is an easy going dog, happy to chill on the sofa and hang out with his humans.

He is active and loves to go for long walks in the countryside. Tony has a strong nose and likes to sniff for rabbits - his new owners will need to work on training his recall and keep him on a lead or a long line in the meantime. Tony walks nicely on the lead, only pulling a little to go and sniff!

Tony takes a while to bond to new people but once he does, he loves to lie next to you on the sofa and will reach out to you and pull your arm towards him for comfort.

Tony is fine with other dogs, and may be able to live with another easy going, older dog. He will just need time to figure out the other dog and soon settles in. He’s also happy to go for walkies just with his humans or with other doggies.

Tony isn’t fully cat tested and although he seems to largely ignore cats, he would be better in a cat-free home.

Tony would suit a single person, or a couple who aren’t too loud. He prefers a quiet life!

He’s happy to be left for a few hours, with a treat and a comfy sofa to snooze on. He particularly enjoys sunbathing! With his foster mum he also goes into her quiet office and hangs out there while she works!

If you could offer Tony a comfy sofa and long countryside walkies, please get in touch!
