Zara is one more dog that was going to be put to sleep. Her owner brought her to the vet to euthanize her as he said "she has leishmania and is not eating, and her lymph nodes are big", he just decided that himself with no check up done whatsoever. Well... we took her on. Zara had all the tests needed and she DOESN'T HAVE leishmania and wasn't eating because she had a saliva gland cyst. Simple as that. After a surgery to remove it and some recovery time, Zara is eating perfectly fine and is one happy old lady. We know Zara's mum was a spaniel breton and her dad a hunting dog. Zara is still very active. We were told she doesn't like other dogs, and that is since she was a puppy. So a home with no other pets is a must. People... that's a different story. She craves for human attention and touch and she is totally happy when she is around someone. Zara walks well on the lead and she is semi house trained. An active family will be great for her. Zara is ready to travel and would love to catch the plane home soon. She deserves to spend her golden years in a loving home, something she has never had in her whole life. She is currently in kennels but nothing beats a warm, soft and cosy bed.
