Joanne is a lovely girl around 1,5 years old. She is medium sized and weighs 13kg. She was found roaming alone in a known dumping area and was caught in a trap. as she was too scared to approach. She was very nervous and was shaking as she did not really trust humans.
She was moved to private kennels and she is slowly coming out of her shell. Joanne is a very sweet and calm dog. She likes to relax in her dog house and enjoys her food and treats. Her tail is wagging crazily as soon as she sees us but she will not come close on her own once we enter the kennel yet unless we sit on the floor and give her some time. After a while, when she feels safe enough she will approach for a sniff and even a lick on the face lol. She will allow us to approach her and sit with her and stroke her for hours. She really enjoys cuddles as soon as she feels safe. Joanne takes treats from our hands and is very well behaved in the car but she does not like the lead and will not walk on it so she will need some work on that. She lets us pick her up and she is great at the vet's but she will try to run if scared and if given the opportunity. Joanne needs an experienced home to help her build up her trust and confidence and teach her the basic training skills a dog needs to know. She is good around other dog, cats and children.
