Dexter

πŸ’• Dexter πŸ’•

Meet beautiful boy Dexter.

Dexter was found on a beach not far from where I live. He was exhausted, thirsty and hungry, he was also quite underweight. The people who found him couldn't just leave him there so brought him home with them and are fostering him ever since. Dexter was chipped and registered. Did we really have to give him back?? I picked up the phone and called the numer on his chip details. Same old story... Dexter was given away, then was sold but no one ever transferred the microchip. And this man didn't want him back! What a relief! Quickly did the paperwork and Dexter was transferred to me.

His foster says Dexter is a great boy. He is good with other dogs, he is a bit timid and unsure when meeting new dogs so the right introduction is very important. He is currently living with a female boxer that he desperately wants to play with but she is not very interested πŸ™ˆ Dexter is good with children and as per our adoption policy he can be homed with kids 10+ years old. Few days ago and yesterday he managed to sneak out, his foster was looking worried sick for him only to find out that he was going to visit the neighbour's cat whom he had become friends with.

Dexter is just over 3 years old and is a GSP cross. He is a lovely boy and really deserves to have his own forever home.

Dexter is Leishmania positive. He has had his treatment and he is on couple of tabs a day to keep it at bay. Please don't overlook him because of this. Leishmania positive dogs lead the same life like any other dog.
