Louie

Louie is a gorgeous Pointer boy who is roughly 1.5 years old.
He was in a pack of dogs and they found themselves outside a Private shelter, Louie and 2 other dogs were trapped, one was killed by a car and the rest disappeared. We believe that Louie was taken out for his first expedition with a hunter and proved himself a useless hunter !! a normal practice in Cyprus with hunting dogs at 10-12 months old.
Louie is a little timid when he first meets new people. He stands and observes before he will trust, if you have treats then his trust is gained much quicker, and will come to you for a fuss, and a belly rub. He shows enormous trust and affection to all his carers at the shelter and regular visitors.
He is playful and enjoys his daily time in the playground with other dogs, both male and female. As a Pointer he has great energy, so daily long walks and a garden to do his zoomies are a must for Louie.
He is also playful with his carers and will need a family that will play with him and stimulate his mind too, he is a very clever boy and learns very quickly, so an active family, teenage children that can play with him, and someone at home quite a bit, will be his ideal forever sofa.
He enjoys playing and interacting with other dogs, and he would welcome another playful and energetic companion too.
Louie remains calm in a car, he walks relatively well on a lead (further training is required), he is always looking at the person walking him for re assurance, he can share his food and toys, and he can be touched at every part of his body with no reaction.
If you are looking for a new Pointer member for your family, please get in touch, it is time for this super boy to find his very own forever sofa and explore all that life has to offer outside of a shelter.
