Layla
Hello, my name is Layla, and I would like to tell you my story. Despite being a young and healthy girl of only 2 years old, I narrowly escaped a dire fate in a crowded place that almost ended my life. Being stuck there for so long put me at the top of the list to be euthanized. Thankfully, the volunteers never gave up on me and reached out to every rescue organization on the island, desperately seeking help. Although everyone was already full, fortune finally smiled upon me and I got a lucky ticket out of that place.
At first, I was a bit shy, and understandably so. I wasn't quite sure if I was safe in my new surroundings. But let me tell you, the past few weeks have been the happiest of my entire life so far. My true personality is starting to shine through.
They say I'm pure gold, and I believe it's true. My heart is filled with love, and I'm a joyful and friendly girl to both dogs and humans.
For me, happiness is defined as sitting next to my human and receiving cuddles. But you know who holds a special place in my heart? The little humans. Oh, their presence fills me with an overflowing joy.
I'm a big girl, weighing 20kg, and I will enjoy going on adventures. There's nothing quite like the thrill of chasing scents and exploring new places. However, once my energy has been expended, snuggling up on a soft sofa will bring me pure joy.
Life has tested me in ways I never thought possible, yet my spirit remains unbroken. Although I appreciate the volunteers here, nothing compares to having a forever home.
Please consider opening your hearts and homes to me. My name is Layla, a remarkable girl with an indomitable spirit. I yearn for a family who will cherish and care for me, providing the love and understanding that has been absent for far too long. That's all I dream about.
