Hugo

Hey there, I'm Hugo, a 3.5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback cross, and I am looking for my forever sofa! I've come a long way the past few months. I started off with a family, lived with them since I was just a tiny pup, along with my sister. But things changed when they brought in a new puppy, and suddenly, I found myself in a shelter. It was scary and overwhelming for me at the beginning.

It took me a good while to figure things out, to relax and adjust to my new environment. But now, oh boy, I'm loving all the volunteers! They're like family to me. There's just one thing, though - I can't stand being cooped up in a cage. When it's time to head back, I put my paws down. Literally. You'll have to carry me, because I won't take another step.I love my time in the playground with the other doggies and people. I just wish i was out more often.

Seeing me like that breaks their hearts, but they say I'm ready to find my forever home. They think a family experienced with big breeds, who likes training and keeping clever pups like me mentally engaged, would be just perfect. And I'll be real with you, I can do well as the only dog, or with some smaller fur pals. Big dogs sometimes make me a bit nervous, but I'm learning to hold my own.

Oh, and if there are kids around, they should be over 10. I'm a big, strong guy, and I wouldn't want to accidentally knock over a little one. So, what do you say? Could you be the one to give me the forever home I've been waiting for? I'm ready when you are! 🐾
