Domino

DOMINO - CYPRUS LOOKING FOR HIS FUREVER HOME IN UK OR CYPRUS - this is what he says..........
Please let me introduce myself. My name is Domino (sometimes abbreviated to Dom by those who know me well). I have asked the volunteers if the choice of name had anything to do with my black and white colouring but have yet to get a straight answer!
My history is a bit of a blur, different people, different places but to be honest, I choose not to focus on that, preferring to live in the present. Having been picked up as a stray on a busy road, before Christmas, I was brought to Pegeia Dog Pound where I met lots of kind volunteers. They let me settle in, then took me to a vet to get checked over and everyone was so glad to hear that I had no health issues. A few weeks ago I was neutered and my scar has healed nicely. (Sorry, I should have told you earlier that I am a boy) Any time I have been in a car or truck I have been complemented on my good behaviour. I am a small/medium sized short haired Pointer, weighing around 14kgs. Aged just under 3 years old, I will be celebrating a birthday on 14 May. (Useful information if you want to buy me a yummy doggy birthday cake. Hint, hint!)
There is so much that I enjoy about life and the priorities change depending on what is happening. Feeding time is just the best and I tend to get very excited but I know that my bowl will not be put down until I sit, so of course I comply. A boy needs to have good manners. Being a foodie definitely has its benefits and makes me easier to train. I love playing with the other dogs at the pound. We chase each other, I can fetch a ball and am just learning to bring it back. I love a squeaky toy and although I would rather retain it, I allow the volunteer to take it from me without a fuss. My two friends and I have been known to play and share one single toy despite the fact there are other toys lying around. We also have a ramp and steps that I play on, loving the height advantage. Another thing you need to know about me is that I love getting affection from humans. Cuddles, strokes and massage are just the best. It’s wonderful when the volunteers come in and I can say hello to them. If other dogs are getting attention, then I want in on the action too but am not too pushy. There are times I could almost be a lap dog!
When I am taken for a walk, I love to sniff but that is all part and parcel of being a dog and a hound. I am quite confident with people, both male and female tending to pull towards them rather than away when on a walk. Traffic, even heavy lorries and buses can pass by without bothering me.
Just before I finish off, I need to admit that I am rather interested in chasing cats, if a cat runs, I will run too, so I would be best placed in a household without them.
I would love to have my own family who would bring stability to my life as I am a very sociable little chap who would repay you with many years of loyalty and love. Feel free to write to me if you have any questions.
Kisses from Domino
