BUTTONS - CYPRUS
Let me introduce you to a very special beautiful young lady that is looking for a very special home and family.
This is Buttons story :

A very special home needed for a very special girl! This gorgeous girl is Buttons. She was found at the side of a busy main road wagging her tail as she could hear people around her but was too scared to move as she could also hear the traffic in front of her. She was completely blind and there was no way she could have made her way there by herself. She had obviously stayed where the lowlife had dumped her, as she was too scared to move. She was just patiently waiting with a wagging tail for someone to pick her up and save her. Her rescuer was in tears as she realised that Buttons was blind and it was fate that brought her to that road that morning. She was referred to an eye specialist who told us that her corneas were completely destroyed and there was no chance of regaining any sight. She was treated for Erlichia in preparation for her to be spayed. When she was taken to be spayed, the vet had a look at her eyes and found they were causing her pain, so the decision was made to remove both eyes while she was being spayed to avoid putting her through anesthetic again. Spaying was done just in time as the vet found alot of fluid in her Uterus that would have turned into an infection that causes Pyometra in females. She is a very lucky girl! Her stitches were removed 2 weeks later and she healed amazingly well and took everything in her stride with a constantly wagging tail. She really is an amazing dog

Her Personality:
Buttons is approximately 5-6 years old and is the most affectionate girl. She loves cuddles and will follow you around all day. She follows the sounds of footsteps, clicking and your voice. She is great in the car and feels safest in the front footwell so she can't fall off the seats. She walks very well on a lead but freezes around any traffic. She does not like dogs, cats or any other small animals. It's not her fault, she is just very defensive as she can't see or read body language. The ideal home for Buttons would be a calm, quiet home with no other dogs, animals or young children as she is happier being the centre of attention and doesnt like loud noises. She needs a quiet life in a rural area so there isnt alot of loud noises and busy roads around her.

Buttons is a Segugio Italiano the most loyal and personable breed of great stamina, great heart, and impeccable intelligence.
Her willing nature, intelligence, gentle and docile demeanor make her ideal as a companion. The Segugio Italiano is not a bold breed but is courageous with a cautious nature.
