Rufus

Rufus - 2 year old Lab cross - currently in Cyprus

Why this boy was dumped to fend for himself ,we shall never know .A usual and sad story , typical of Cyprus , wonderful loving dogs abandoned to find food , dodge traffic , protect themselves from people who might hurt them

Rufus was fortunate to be dumped in the village of Lefkara where there is an amazing rescuer who helps the dogs , bringing them to the local small shelter for food and vet care

Rufus was hungry and thirsty when found, covered in ticks and fleas. He was so grateful to be picked up , showing his rescuer his gratitude with lots of sloppy kisses and doggy cuddles

Now Rufus has settled into shelter life, we've been able to assess him better
this is what we know so far !

He's an incredibly loving dog ! Hugely affectionate , adores close contact with humans
Although playful with the other dogs he's also quite calm too .He's been welcoming and kind to all the dogs he meets at the shelter
Rufus quite enjoys a car ride !
Hes not sure about cats !
His nature is always friendly and sweet

Rufus would of course benefit from further training however his mix lends itself to learning quickly .He's bright and eager , he wants to please
We think he'd really enjoy someone taking the time to show him new tricks and ways to behave , just needing some guidance , from a person willing to invest in him
He'd make a fab companion dog to another playful young playmate
Families with older children 10 yrs plus are welcome to apply

We don't want to see Rufus waste his precious life shut in a kennel . He should be living his best life with a family who love and adore him , only what he deserves
